About the Art

Sundar Sinkhwal’s concept for the Kathmandu Art Biennale- Spiritual edition is Chakrasamvara, which holds a special place in his heart. Paintings serve as a form of meditation, and his journey began with his first painting, Chakrasamvara. The deity has four faces and twelve blue arms, standing on two legs. He embraces the female consort Vajrayogini, with one face and two hands in red. The painting is surrounded by various deities, including Vajrasattva, Sadakshari Lokeshvara, Prajnaparamita, and the four Yoginis. The painting’s bottom features Vajrapani, Khadgapani, Mahakala, and Chawaskamuni.
