About the Art

Jambala is one of the eight terrible ones and part of Jewel Family associated with Buddha Ratnasambhava. He is seated in lalitasana with left leg drawn up and right leg slightly extended resting upon a conch and lotus representing the heads of the great treasure. He holds bijapuraka (fruit) in his right hand and mongoose in his left showering jewels. He blesses his followers with wealth, wisdom and intelligence.
