About the Art
Shree Lakshmi as the female consort of Lord Vishnu is known as the goddess of wealth and beauty in Nepal. Lakshmi is shown standing in graceful tribhanga with her left hand holding a full-blown lotus and right hand carrying varada-cum-jewel. The Nepali artist has done a brilliant job to carve out this figure by exhibiting all parts of female body in an accurate proportion with sensitive modeling.

श्री लक्ष्मीलाई भगवान विष्णुको महिला साथीका रूपमा धन र सौन्दर्यको देवी भनेर चिनिन्छ। श्री लक्ष्मी देब्रे हातले भरिएको कमल र दायाँ हातले वरदा-रत्न बोक्दै कृपालु त्रिभुंगामा देखाइएको छ। नेपाली कलाकारले संवेदनशील मोडलिंगको साथ सटीक अनुपातमा महिला शरीरका सबै अङ्गहरू प्रदर्शन गरेर यो एक उत्कृष्ट काम गरेका छन्।
