About the Art

Samyak Dyo, named after Samyak festival is handed down from generations to generation as proof of one’s ancestors sponsorship of the festival. Samyak festival is an alms giving Buddhist festival celebrated in Kathmandu Valley (initiated: 1015), once every 12 years in Kathmandu, once every five years in Patan and every year in Bhaktapur to venerate deities like Dipankar Buddha, Vasudhara, Arya Tara, other Bodhisattvas and Buddhas.

सम्यक द्यो

सम्यक द्यो, सम्यक महादानको नाम पछि एक पुस्ताको उत्सवको प्रायोजनको प्रमाणको रूपमा अर्को पुस्तामा हस्तान्तरण गरिन्छ। सम्यक चाड भनेको काठमाडौं उपत्यकामा मनाउने बौद्ध चाड हो, काठमाडौंमा प्रत्येक १२ वर्षमा एक पटक पाटनमा प्रत्येक वर्षमा र भक्तपुरमा हरेक वर्ष दिपानकर बुद्ध, वसुधरा, आर्य तारा, बोधिसत्व र बुद्ध जस्ता अन्य देवताहरूको पूजा गर्ने गर्दछन्।
