About the Art

The manifestation of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati together is known as Uma Maheshvara. Lord Shiva is referred to as Maheshvara, and Goddess Parvati is identified as Uma. The combination of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati symbolizes the inseparable fusion of matter and energy, underscoring the notion that nothing in the cosmos exists independent of the grace bestowed by these two divine entities. Furthermore, it signifies the potency of unity and the fluid transitions within family dynamics in everyday life.

The sculpture is a collaborative creation of artists Anil Shakya and Suman Shakya
