Uma Maheshwar is another name for Shiva-Parvati or Gauri-Shankar. It is the representation when Shiva is represented with his consort Parvati or Uma. The Maheshwar is positioned in a relaxed posture (Lalitasana) with Uma seated on his left. He has four arms, the top right holding a string of beads and the top left a trident (Trishula), the front right hand is turned downwards and the left is holding Uma.
