Meena Kayastha is a visual artist who holds a Bachelor's degree in sculpture from Kathmandu University, Centre for Art and Design, Kathmandu, which she completed in 2007. She embraces the beauty of discarded objects and takes a stand against conventional norms by utilizing debris and discarded items as the primary medium for expressing her creativity. She firmly believes in the idea that beautiful things don't need to seek attention and aims to raise awareness about finding stories in objects that are nearly obsolete in our lives. She sees value in everything, striving to demonstrate the immortality of art through her work. Her artistic process revolves around combining hybrid discarded objects, such as mechanical bits, chains, pipes, and wheels, to create pieces that hold a poetic significance to her. These materials gradually transform into artistic structures over time, making her work a process of accumulation and alteration.
